That is really cool that you were able to see Pres. Uchtdorf. I always enjoy his talks.

Those silly hurricane scares. They are a lot of work even when they hit.

I meant DON'T hit!

We're glad to hear that you all were safe and that you didn't have any damage. As we watched the news updates of how the storm was moving, we were excited to see that you weren't hit.

What an awesome opportunity to hear Pres. Uchtdorf... a preview of what we get in a few weeks...

It was fun to get away for a few days especially after we knew the danger had passed. Undoing all the work of putting up boards is a pain, but good practice I guess. And at least it was little work in comparison to what could have been.

Those are some cute Coopers! I'm jealous that you had an actual "evacuation vacation." We were so bored in our boarded up cave-like house all weekend! How cool to be at that meeting with Pres. Uchdorf. I had heard he was going to be there. Glad you guys are back safe and sound!

Firstly - I love your house! I am sorry you had to board it up for nothing, but at least you were prepared, right?
Secondly - It looks like you guys had fun in Dallas. Mmmmmm caramel popcorn!
Thirdly - those are some cute Coopers to boot, but I feel as though my nephew should be included for it to be complete ;)
Fourthly - (is that even a word?) I bet hearing Uchdorf was awesome. Anna loves him - well mostly just likes his pictures and saying his name, which comes out more like 'Udoor' but whatev.

I think I'll step onto the "I love your house" train with the Overman girls. That's so scary having to prepare like that for hurricanes. It would make me so nervous. I'm glad you guys are safe and that you were able to have some fun in Dallas. What a relief to come back to a house still standing. And yes, those are adorable Coopers!

How did your husband ever get to those high windows to get the boards on. We have some window like that and I have a heart attack everytime my husband tries to manuever those heavy boards up on the ladder! We also visited family in Dallas and had a wonderful time. It is wonderful that you got to see President Uchdorf. I don't know if you were here when he came to Corpus but, he is a very special man.
