Last Thursday I had the opportunity to travel with about 23 youth from our ward to the San Antonio Temple for youth baptisms. I was blessed to have Taryn Christensen, Patti Smith, and Mandy Cox travel with me as chaperones. It's always fun to get to know each other as we serve together. We met at the church at 1pm and left on time. It takes about 3 hours to drive up there, so we ate at CiCi's pizza for dinner before the temple. Everyone seemed to have a wonderful experience and a fun time being together! We have such a strong group of youth who love each other and are working hard to live the gospel. I am so inspired by them and their dilligence!
A big Thank You to Shirley Barnes, Jennifer Osborne, and Stephanie Barkdull who all pitched in to take care of my kiddos while I went. Adam was in Austin on business all week, so these three ladies worked together to care for our kids from 1-11pm!

I had a great time. Thanks for letting me ride with you. Our Young Women are lucky to have you as their leader! It was nice getting to know you better. I'm sad you were not able to be in the temple when the youth did their baptisms though. I'm sure our non members appreciated getting to go and see the temple and hopefully they appreciate your sacrifice. Your kids are so cute! They were'nt distracting at all today.
Wow 3 hours to a temple...i forget how lucky we are here! How fun though! I remember those were some of the neatest experiences I had growing up, going to do baptisms! I bet the kids all love you!
I agree with Chelsie, I totally take being able to go to 5 temples within 3 hours of me - soon to be more. What a fun trip though. I love doing baptisms - we used to go all the time when we were at USU. How things change after you have kids, now it's not so much a weekly thing. One day it will be again :) I bet it was nice to have a break from your kids while you were gone...even if it was only for a little while.
Hi Tynel,
I love your blog. The kids are so cute! We MISS you guys. Please tell the kids hi.
Love, Nicole
Great picture! Only if Ash was in there it would have been complete. I love serving with you!
Yay! Welcome to the blogging world. I was so happy to hear from you. I had sent you a few emails and didn't hear back from you so I was thinking you were mad at me. Glad you're not! Anyway, I'm excited to keep up to date on your family. Love ya!
