There's a Hurricane a Comin!

It's a little nerve racking to live on the Gulf Coast during hurricane season. The first waves of wind and rain began around 5am here and we have had non-stop rain since about 7am. It's very dark with occasional thunder. Luckily, we have everything we need inside our home and took all the proper precautions yesterday. So we're just hunkered down and waiting it out!

That stuff scares me. I guess you get used to it after living there for a while? And at least you know that it is coming before it gets there, unlike us Utahns who will have no forewarning before the big earthquake comes ;) I hope the weather simmers down a bit and all is well - good to know you are prepared!

I guess we can look on the bright side of things- At least we are getting some rain! It looks like it might get a little closer to us than was previously thought! I guess we will just have to stay at home and wait it out.
